Douching to Increase Chances of a Baby Boy Conception
I often write about naturally choosing the gender of your baby. Most people know that douching can be an easy and inexpensive way to alter your body’s PH to make it more friendly for the gender that you prefer. Although this can be true, there is a lot of misconception out there. For example, many women have heard that douching with baking soda will get you a son. While the idea behind this is correct, baking soda alone is often not going to be enough. I’ll explain why that’s so in this article. I will also explain the correct way to use douching if you want a boy, and will offer you some other variables you’ll need to consider if you’re trying to conceive a boy baby.
The Science Behind Douching To Conceive A Boy: You may know that douching is one tool to get a son, but do you know why? Its due to the characteristics of the boy sperm. The sperm (Y) that produces a son is faster, which is an advantage. But, it’s also weaker, which can put you at a serious disadvantage. For example, girl sperm can live in your reproductive tract for days – no matter what the environment, but you have to treat boy sperm with kid gloves. An acidic environment can be a real challenge for boy sperm, which is where douching comes in
Why Douching With Baking Soda Is Often Not Enough To Get You A Low Enough PH For A Baby Boy: Now that you understand why we douche, it’s also very important to understand that how you do it can make a huge difference. Hopefully, I’ve shown you why weak boy sperm and a high PH don’t mix. So, there’s no question that you have to make your vagina more alkaline. Most people’s minds then jump to baking soda because it is an alkaline substance. But, unless you are already highly alkaline naturally, baking soda is often not strong enough to produce an environment that is going to be low enough to ensure the Y sperm are safe. There are alternatives that can sometimes work better. (You can even test this, which I’ll discuss below.)
The Right Way To Douche To Get A Son: Many people approach this process flying blind. They have no idea how acidic they really are so they make a half hearted effort at douching and just hope that they are doing it right. There is a better way. Go out and buy yourself some vaginal PH testing strips at a nutrition center or online. Then, find out exactly where you fall. Now, you’re armed with important information as to how much tweaking you really need. (Many women will find that they have quite a ways to go. But, it’s better to know so that you be proactive.) And, there are recipes available (other than baking soda) that can get very dramatic results at home. It’s also important that you continue to monitor so you know exactly when you’ve achieved your goal and are ready to start trying for a boy.
If you want to check how well baking soda is working, test yourself before a baking soda douche and then after. Often, you’ll see there is not enough of a change to get you “in the boy zone.”
Foods And Your Diet Can Also Help Lower Your PH: If you want to get a “boy friendly” PH as quickly as possible, adding an alkaline diet to your regimen can help you get there very quickly. This just means avoiding foods with a high PH and stacking your diet with the foods that are going to neutralize your body and bring your reading lower. Again, there are food lists available that can make this easier for you. If you are reasonably careful about this and are combining this with the douching, you shouldn’t have to do this for very long. If you’re not in any grave hurry, you can skip this step if you want, but it is an alternative if speed is concern for you.
Other Things You Can Do To Help in Conceiving A Son: PH and acidity are very important in conceiving a boy, but you’re not home free yet. People who fail with this process often do so because they are only trying to alter ONE variable out of a few. You really can’t leave much to chance here. The boy sperm are too weak to leave them vulnerable.
You’ll also need to time your conception to occur on the late end of your fertility cycle (the day of ovulation, preferably). Don’t leave this to chance. Invest in a ovulation predictor so that you know for sure.
And, use sexual / intercourse positions that ensure you place the sperm where it is very close in proximity of your cervix (for most, this is deep penetration.) You do this because it buys you time – and time is very precious when you are dealing with the short lived boy sperm.
